Owen Sound police say an arrest has led to the recovery of stolen property.
Police say early on Oct. 13, officers responded to the area of the 500 block of 12th street West to a male party going onto several residential properties attempting to enter vehicles.
Police add one vehicle was found damaged with pry marks and a smashed window.
Police say a male party matching the description of the suspect was found a short distance away, and the investigation revealed a 29-year-old of Owen Sound was the culprit.
The accused was arrested and charged with mischief, trespassing at night near a dwelling, and possessing break in tools.
Police add they later discovered several sheds and garages had been broken into and many items were taken, leading to police attaining a search warrant for the accused westside apartment.
A search warrant was executed Friday morning, and police say during the search, several stolen items were recovered with a value of over $4,000.
Police say further criminal charges were laid including several counts of break and enter, and theft and possession of stolen property.
A bail hearing was held on Oct. 14 in Owen Sound.
