The Kincardine Business Improvement Area (BIA) is launching a campaign to support local shopping.
The BIA says the Bring us the Bucks campaign this launching this fall on its social media channels to hunt for BIA Bucks and encourage people to start shopping.
The BIA says throughout the pandemic, local organizations and residents supported the Shop Local campaign and purchased Kincardine BIA Bucks to help downtown businesses.
The bucks act as gift certificates that can be used at more than 70 different businesses.
Downtown Development Manager for Lakeside Downtown Kincardine BIA Jana-Leigh Ibbitson says, there are now $70,000 dollars’ worth of BIA Bucks that have been purchased in the community.
“We’re asking those who have them, to bring their support full-circle and redeem the BIA Bucks in our downtown businesses,” says Ibbitson.
Updates will be posted to the @dowtownkincardine page on Instagram and Facebook detailing where people might be able to find BIA Bucks and ways they could be spent.
