Home & Community Support Services Grey Bruce (HCSS) is looking for help from residents for a Christmas program.
HCSS Community Development and Philanthropy Coordinator Rachel Taylor says they partnered up with the Roxy Theatre to offer the Cozy Christmas Theatre Experience program to the clients who use their services.
“We’ve already sent out invitations and collected RSVP’s from many of our 2,500 clients that would like to participate, and now we are looking for members of the community to help us with funding this experience for our seniors and for those in the community living with disabilities that would like that,” says Taylor.
She says the program includes a ticket for each person for a chance to see Norm Foster’s The Christmas Tree at the Roxy which runs on Dec. 9 and 10.
“The cozy part is they will get a nice fleece blanket, popcorn, hot cocoa, and a candy cane,” says Taylor.
Taylor adds they are asking members of the community to make a $30 donation to HCSS. Half of the donation will assist in covering one of these experiences for an area senior, and the other half will go to continuing to support the organizations various programs and services across the region.
People interested in donating to the program this holiday season can visit the HCSS website here.
