The CFOS Sun Times Christmas Fund Broadcast is returning to a live stage this weekend, celebrating 83 years.
This marathon of local talent will be going at the Roxy Theatre in Owen Sound on Dec. 4 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and broadcasted on 560 CFOS.
The event last year was able to set a record of $71,300 for 23 local charities in the region.
The event will feature local talent performing their songs, accompanied with the reading of pledges.
This is the first time returning to the Roxy stage since the Covid pandemic, and many local charities and organizations have voiced they are still struggling to return to normal.
The funds raised this year will be divided equally among 23 local charity organizations.

-Participation Lodge (physical and developmental disabilities) Holland Centre
-REACH Centre
-Rockwood Terrace (County Home) Durham

Donations can be made at any Royal Bank branch in Grey and Bruce, while pledges can be made by calling Bayshore Broadcasting at 519-376-2030 starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
All donations will be acknowledged on the air and in The Sun Times, with tax receipts from The Royal Bank.
CFOS is also auctioning off a Weekend of Elvis on Dec. 2 to help kick-start the fundraising.
Starting 6 a.m. on the CFOS morning show, listeners can bid on the Elvis package by calling the contest line at 519-376-7777.

-An Elvis Presley mounted photo display
-An Elvis 30 #1 Hits CD
-The new Elvis DVD staring Tom Hanks
-A social and dinner for two at Cobble Beach this holiday season, and social time with Paul and Fred
-Two tickets to A Rockin’ Elvis Christmas at the Roxy Theatre on Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. with an additional six tickets for friends and family
The bidding starts at 6 a.m. and ends at 9:59 a.m. on the Open Line, with a winning bidder announcement just before the 10 a.m. news.
