Meanwhile, Attack Captain Colby Barlow has been invited to compete at the Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game January 25th in Langley, BC

from attackhockey.com
The Canadian Hockey League announced today the 15 OHL players invited to compete in the 2023 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. Among the 15 OHL players is Attack Captain Colby Barlow.
Barlow currently sits with 37 points, tied for the team lead with Deni Goure, and is 8th amongst the league leaders. The 17-year old’s 20 goals pace the Attack in that category, and has him sitting in a tie for 3rd among the leading league snipers. Barlow tied the Attack franchise record last season with 47 points as an underage 16-year old, while also tying fellow rookie and Montreal Canadiens prospect Cedrick Guindon for the franchise record of 30 goals by a rookie. The Orillia, ON native has been recognized by scouts early this season, as he received an “A” rating in the early draft prospect rankings, while also being found as high as the 7th ranked prospect on some scouting lists.
Slated for January 25 at the Langley Events Centre, the 2023 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game showcases the top-40 CHL players eligible for the 2023 NHL Draft from across the Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The 40 players were identified via a survey conducted with the NHL’s 32 teams.
Forward Servac Petrovsky has been named the Owen Sound Attack Player of the Week, for the Week of Dec 5th – 11th.
The highlight of the week for the Slovakian forward was a hat-trick during Sunday afternoon’s game against the visiting SOO Greyhounds. The feat marked the third game this season that Petrovsky recorded a three goal game, as he brings his season total to 14 goals, half of what he scored in his rookie season last year. On top of his three goal performance on Sunday, Petrovsky also added an assist during Friday nights game in Guelph.
The honour will have Petrovsky head out on a high note, as the Minnesota Wild prospect will be heading out east to join Team Slovakia for the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championships in Halifax/Moncton. Attack fans can follow Petrovsky on his World Junior journey through the Attack social media channels, as the team wishes him luck out at the tournament.
In a non-relate roster move the Attack have parted ways with import defensemen Luc Schweingruber, as the Switzerland native will be heading back home early this week.
