Hanover & District Hospital are announcing their new vice president of Patient Care Services/CNE (continued nursing education).
The hospital is announcing Mary Rae has been selected for the position, and is a familiar face to the hospital over the past three years.
She’s been the Patient Care Manager for Surgical Services, the Family Centred Birthing Unit, Dialysis, the Medical Device Reprocessing Department, and the Pharmacy.
In a media release, the hospital says Rae is a strong advocate for rural nursing and allied health services.
Hospital President and CEO Dana Howes says that they’re fortunate to be able to promote from within, saying “We are confident that Mary will continue to live HDH’s mission of providing exceptional care. She is the right person to work collaboratively with our partners to navigate health system change and challenges in both the hospital and community sectors. The support she has already provided front-line staff through the COVID-19 pandemic will continue as always and we look forward to her continued leadership at HDH.”
