Kincardine council was able to take a look at the municipality’s budget for 2023.
During a special meeting on Monday the 19th, they heard from the heads of various departments, including the Treasury department, Infrastructure and Development, and Community Services.
The 2023 draft budget consists of tax-supported operating expenses of just over $24 million, up from $23 million in 2022.
The municipality also offers community investiment grants, and council gave approval to include funding for the Kincardine Scottish Festival, the Lighthouse Blues Festival, and the Kincardine Summer Festival, as well as the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre, Community Foundation Grey Bruce, and the Kincardine Community Fund.
Kincardine staff will also see an increase in their annual salaries of 4%.
