The City of Owen Sound is providing free shuttle services to Harrison Park during Hockey Day in Canada.
The free shuttles will be running on Jan. 21 while the city hosts the nationally broadcasted event from Good Cheer Rink at the park.
During the event, the city advises there will be no general parking, and only limited access parking at the park.
The shuttles will be picking people up from three locations, the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre north parking lot every 30 minutes starting at 9:30 a.m., Scotiabank Owen Sound every 15 minutes starting at 9:30 a.m., and South End Fellowship Baptist Church every 15 minutes starting at 9:30 a.m.
The city says the last shuttle runs will leave Harrison Park at 6:45 p.m.
The park will be accessible by pedestrian access through the Freedom Trail.
“Harrison Park will be buzzing with all kinds of hockey and skating fun on the Good Cheer Rink ice surface, visits with the Stanley Cup, and excited activation centres throughout the park,” says the city in a release.
Registration is required for skating and pick-up hockey opportunities at the rink, occurring throughout the day, which can be completed by visiting the city website here.
