Bruce County Council is looking at changing the way they hold their committee meetings.
At the most recent meeting for their executive services committee, it was recommended by staff that rather than holding multiple committee meetings, they hold a meeting for a committee of the whole to discuss and resolve the most relevant topics at the time.
This means that rather than having multiple meetings to discuss and delegate topics and then have resolutions such as by-law amendments at later meetings, they could streamline how they hold meetings.
The main change would be for staff to compile a consent agenda, and then the relevant board members present to the entire council in a more concise way, similar to how lower-tier municipalities handle their individual business.
