The Chambers of Commerce for Grey Highlands and West Grey have now merged.
The two organizations have combined to become the South Grey Chamber of Commerce.
President Karen Cox says that with the merger, they’re hoping that the new organization will offer networking, education, and events for businesses while also finding a way to survive in a time of ever-rising costs.
In a media release, West Grey Chamber Vice-President Tom Hutchinson says that “The chambers worked together to look at options, and saw opportunities presented by this merger. The new Chamber will represent and support businesses across South Grey — Chatsworth, Grey Highlands, Southgate, and West Grey — knocking down invisible barriers and encouraging businesses to work together.”
The South Grey Chamber now represents the largest geographic area of any Chamber in Grey County.
After more than a year of discussions, the new Chamber starts 2023 representing approximately 250 businesses.
