Saugeen Shores police have arrested a male in connection to a stabbing in Port Elgin.
Police say on May 31st at 4 a.m., they took a report of a stabbing from a victim in hospital who wished to speak with police.
They say the victim had minor injuries.
According to police, a few hours later, the accused was located and arrested. He was charged with assault with a weapon and failure to comply with an undertaking. Police say he was held for a bail hearing that day.
Police note, he was currently on an undertaking with conditions due to a previous incident involving the same victim.
Police say the accused was released by the courts at 3:03 p.m. with further conditions, but at 4:29 p.m. they took another call about an assualt that had just occurred involving the same male.
Police say the suspect was located and arrested with the assistance of their K9 unit in the search.
