A new disc golf course has been installed at Hanover Town Park, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held this week.
The town says the new course at 780 – 7th Avenue comes as disc golf has been on the rise in recent years.
Similar to regular golf, players aim to get their disc to a target in as few throws as possible.
“We are thrilled to be adding this new amenity to our community. Disc golf is a fun and affordable outdoor activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels. We believe this course will become a popular destination for both residents and visitors alike,” says Mayor Sue Paterson.
The course is free to use and open to anyone with no reservations required. The Hanover Public Library will be offering discs to borrow to those with a library card.
The Hanover Disc Golf Committee will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 11 at 6 p.m., featuring refreshments and a chance to learn how to play.
