Have you looked in your glove compartment lately? Do you even know what’s in there?

King Huang / CC
I think the manual for my vehicle is in there & maybe some random receipts.
What should we be keeping in our glove compartment?
Here are some suggestions, from a mechanic :
1. Flashlight
2. Proof of insurance and registration
3. Tire pressure gauge
4. Mini first aid kit
5. Pen and paper (How old-fashioned!)
6. A multi-tool: It’s more than a Swiss Army knife. It includes pliers, a screwdriver, and a small knife.
7. Spare fuses: It’s good to have back-ups in case one blows while on the road. You can reference your vehicle’s manual if you don’t know how to replace it.
Listener suggestions include:
A candle of some sort should be in car. If the car stalls a simple candle can keep you warm. – Mike
Napkins! – Lisa
An extra charger – Julia
Tissues
Seat belt cutter
Plastic or Reusable Straws
