Grey County is playing matchmaker this Valentine’s Day by helping people find their perfect career with a job fair.
The county is planning on holding the fair on Feb. 14 at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Over 140 employers throughout the region are expected to attend and showcase their business and job opportunities.
Several full-time, part-time and seasonal positions will be available with participating employers including Brightshores Health System, BWXT Canada Ltd., Pickard Construction, RBW Graphics, school boards, Bruce Power, Cobble Beach, Queen of Hearts, Chapman’s, Canadian Mental Health Association Grey Bruce, PeopleCare Communities, local municipalities, Voyago, Framatome, and LiUNA 1059.
Grey County Economic Development Officer Jacinda Rudolph says, “Grey County and partners are excited to host one large regional job fair. With such a large area, we want to support job seekers as best we can with transportation to and from the event.”
Would-be job seekers are advised to come prepared by bringing copies of their resumes and also be able to speak on their previous work experiences.
For those who need assistance crafting resumes, YMCA Employment Services is available. More details can be found on the YMCA website here.
Additionally, employers can also still register to take part in the event by visiting Grey County’s website here.
