The news was announced across Lamar’s social media accounts, as well as by the NFL.
This will NOT be his first appearance on the Super Bowl stage as he made his debut in 2022. He shared the stage with Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent.
This will be his first time as the headliner.
Kendrick Lamar has won 17 Grammy Awards and a Pulitzer Prize for his 2017 album Damn, he became the first non-classical, non-jazz musician to earn the prestigious honour.
Usher, who headlined last year had the most watched halftime show EVER with about 123.4 million viewers.
Rihanna the year before had about 121 million viewers.
Any guesses on who will be joining him as guests during his performance?
The Super Bowl will happen on February 9th, 2025 in New Orleans.
