A group of men dedicated to supporting charities in Grey Bruce is donating over $16,000 to the REACH Centre.
The 100 Good Men Who Give A Damn met at Best Western Inn on the Bay in Owen Sound Tuesday night, and after hearing presentations from a few charities decided to support the REACH Centre Grey Bruce with their quarterly contribution.
Each person in attendance cuts a $100 cheque to the charity of choice when the 100 Good Men meet quarterly. There were 167 in attendance yesterday, so the Reach Centre will receive $16,700.
“They do a lot of work with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities … a wonderful organization,” says local 100 Good Men chapter founder Don Day.
The REACH Centre is located in downtown Owen Sound and offers programs four days a week to over 50 youth and adults who experience a range of challenges and strengths, according to the organization’s website. REACH Centre participants travel from Southampton, Meaford, Wiarton, Chatsworth and other communities across Grey Bruce.
