Owen Sound is launching a youth colouring contest for its upcoming Green Bin Program.
The contest is available to youth under the age of 18 who live or go to school in Owen Sound.
Participants can pick up the official colouring page through their school, City Hall or the Tom Thomson Art Gallery. It can also be downloaded here.
You can then submit a photo of your artwork online through the city’s Green Bins webpage.
The winner, who will be chosen at random, will be announced the week the Green Bin Program is launched, and will receive a prize pack including an Owen Sound swag bundle, a season’s pass to the Harrison Park pool, a composting starter kit for their class or school, and their artwork to be featured on the Green Bin webpage.
The new Green Bin Program will launch the first week of June and will allow residents to dispose of organic waste like food scraps, soiled paper, pet waste, and other compostable materials for curbside collection every week.
