Brightshores Health System is shifting priorities for outpatient blood collection.
Starting on July 2nd, the Southampton Hospital Outpatient lab will be collecting blood samples for oncology patients, neonatal billis, same-day INR testing, and urgent requests from physicians.
All other blood sample collection will be completed by Dynacare in Port Elgin.
With Dynacare’s expanded service, walk-in patients are accepted, but patients can still book an appointment online.
Brightshores will continue with current outpatient blood collection until July 2nd, according to Director of Laboratory Services Tannu Sayed.
The initiative aims to expand outpatient lab services in the region, offering both walk-in access and Net Check-In options to enhance patient convenience and access.
