Huron Shores Hospice is celebrating after longtime volunteer and board member Carol Rencheck has been inducted into the June Callwood Circle of Outstanding Volunteers.
The honour was presented by Hospice Palliative Care Ontario (HPCO).
Rencheck has been volunteering since 2017.
She’s served as the leader of the Board of Directors, as a bedside comfort care volunteer, community educator, and lead volunteer for the Handbags for Hospice fundraiser.
Established in 1994, the June Callwood Award honours volunteers from HPCO member organizations who go above and beyond.
In addition to her governance work, Rencheck also welcomes families during admissions.
Each year, one nominee from each hospice is nominated to the Circle.
