Provincial Police say one person has died in a collision north of Wiarton.
Highway 6 remains closed north of Wiarton after a passenger vehicle and a water truck collided at Mar Sideroad at about 11:30 this morning.
Earlier Thursday afternoon, OPP said, “The collision is involving a (water truck), which is fully engulfed.”
The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 90-year-old from Lion’s Head was pronounced dead.
OPP did not say if anyone else was injured.
A caller who drove by the accident scene reported to Bayshore Broadcasting News it appeared two vehicles were involved in the incident. Police confirmed in a social media post a passenger vehicle collided with a water truck.
The OPP are advising drivers use Bruce Road 9 as an alternate route.
