Provincial Police say a London man has been arrested and charged in relation to an investigation into a series of thefts in Grey Bruce and other communities.
Grey Bruce OPP say a few of the occurrences were thefts from properties in Georgian Bluffs, Meaford and Grey Highlands this past summer.
Police say on Aug. 1 they received a report of a trailer being stolen from a property on Highway 10 in Grey Highlands. The trailer contained food and catering equipment.
Another incident happened on July 24, when a sport utility vehicle and pick-up truck entered a property on Grey Road 12 in Meaford and stole a 20-foot motor boat.
“The boat was stored on a steel tandem trailer at the time of the theft. This occurrence was also linked to the accused during the investigation,” OPP say in a media release.
The OPP also shared some details about a July 20 occurrence at a commercial property in Georgian Bluffs. They say a Seadoo and an inflatable boat were nabbed from the backlot of the property near Highway 6/21.
A search warrant was executed at a residence on Sevilla Park Place in London last Wednesday. Police say a 44-year-old man was arrested and faces more than a dozen charges relating to alleged thefts in Grey, Bruce and Perth counties, and in the London and Chatham-Kent areas.
