Owen Sound Police say they continue to receive reports of elections signs in the area being damaged, messed with or stolen.
Police are reminding residents interfering with election signs is a criminal offence and could result in charges of theft, mischief to property and trespassing by night.
Police note having a criminal record will negatively affect someone’s ability to get a job and may also restrict them from travelling internationally, adding, “the actions are in no way worth the consequences.”
