Provincial Police say a large amount of property stolen in a recent rash of thefts in southern Bruce County has been recovered.
South Bruce OPP say 14 reports of theft occurrences were received between Nov. 4-7, with a range of items stolen including all-terrain vehicles, power tools and a skid steer.
Members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit and South Bruce OPP attended an address on Huron Street in Huron-Kinloss on Tuesday as a result of information received throughout the investigation, police say.
OPP say a large quantity of stolen property was recovered including two off-road vehicles, a snowmobile, several chainsaws and a number of assorted tools.
“In the course of the investigation, we have recovered a significant amount of property that is currently being catalogued in order to return it to the rightful owners. This takes time, so I ask for your patience and understanding if you had your property stolen,” says South Bruce OPP Staff Sergeant Detachment Manager Ryan Olmstead.
An OPP spokesperson says there’s been no arrests or charges in relation to the investigation yet.
Olmstead says in a statement police are continuing to follow up these investigations and anyone who has information that can assist or can identify potential owners of the stolen property is encouraged to call South Bruce OPP.
OPP are asking the community to report suspicious vehicles or suspicious people to police as soon as possible so that an officer can investigate.
