The Owen Sound Attack & the Canadian Cancer Society will once again be staging “HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER.”
The date for the game oriented event is Saturday March 26th, when the Attack host the Sarnia Sting at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
The Hockey fights cancer event raises money to help local families impacted by cancer. Programs such as lodging, transportation and support services rely on money raised.
Allison Taylor-Misener, Special Events Specialist at Canadian Cancer Society admitted she’s primed for the return of ” Hockey Fights Cancer ” after a 2 year absence due to COVID-19.
Taylor-Misener admits there will be some alterations to the event due to COVID restrictions, but overall she’s thrilled to see the event return and to be partnered with the Owen Sound Attack.
She states the Attack organization is first rate to partner with and the game lends itself to a variety of fundraising initiatives highlighted by the game worn jersey auction with the Attack players at the conclusion of the game.
