OHL ANNOUNCES SUSPENSION OF TEAM ACTIVITIES FOR SUDBURY WOLVES HOCKEY CLUB
In accordance with established protocols, the OHL today announced that the Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club has suspended all team activities as a result of 12 players having tested positive for Covid-19. All players affected are currently asymptomatic or exhibiting mild symptoms and the League and team will continue to monitor their well-being.
The Ontario Hockey League had previously incorporated specific COVID-19 protocols including mandatory vaccination for all members of the OHL Community including players, staff, officials and billets.
The OHL is working in consultation with the League’s independent Chief Medical Officer while the Wolves continue to follow the guidance of Public Health Sudbury & Districts.
As a result of the suspension of team activities for the Sudbury Wolves, the following OHL Regular Season games have been postponed, with additional games subject to further review:
Wednesday, December 1 – Sudbury Wolves at Soo Greyhounds
Friday, December 3 – Barrie Colts at Sudbury Wolves
Saturday, December 4 – Sudbury Wolves at Barrie Colts

The Gloria Rints Memorial International Silver Stick is in the books, and that means it’s time to unveil the premiere edition of the OHL Cup presented by Under Armour Top 10 Rankings. The annual showcase hosted by the Greater Toronto Hockey League makes its return starting Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
Back for the first time since 2019, the 2022 OHL Cup powered by Under Armour features 20 teams consisting of talent eligible for the 2022 OHL Priority Selection. All games will be played at the Scotiabank Pond in Toronto until the Championship Final moves to the Mattamy Athletic Centre on Monday, April 4.
Typically starting with a wild card play-in day on the Tuesday of opening week, this year’s wild card qualifying games will be played in advance of the 20 showcase-clinching teams arriving at Scotiabank Pond on Wednesday, March 30.
The weekly rankings are determined by a panel of OHL Central Scouting staff and represent the top teams that are competing to play in the annual year-end championship tournament.

The Attack Hunger Campaign presented by IG Wealth Management is underway with food and monetary donations being accepted at the Owen Sound Attack’s home game December 4th against the Flint Firebirds.
Donations will be collected on a game night as well as at 3 main drop-off locations; the IG Wealth Management office on the east side, the Attack office downtown and Foodland on the west side.
Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected at these locations beginning today until Monday December 6th
IG Wealth Management will be distributing Attack Hunger donation bags at the Attacks home game on Saturday, against the London Knights.
If you want to make a donation before the event you can visit the Attack Shack online store and follow the Attack Hunger link to make a monetary donation to this year’s campaign. All donations over $10 will receive a charitable tax receipt directly from the Salvation Army. If you want to make a donation at the game the Salvation Army will be onsite with their kettles collecting monetary donations.
