Saugeen Shores is going to be welcoming more healthcare providers to the area over the next two years.
The Town says in a release, two physicians have already set up their practices in the area, with three more on the way.
The Dr. Earl Clinic brought on Christina Musngi, while Kim Whitaker, whose emergency services have already started, will have her practice open in June 2022 at the same clinic.
The Dr. Earl Clinic will also be receiving another healthcare provider at the start of the new year, with Shaji Khan setting up in January.
Oksana Lavasova will be opening up in August 2023, and Joel Young will be operational by July 2024.
This is in addition to a second nurse practitioner who became available at the Saugeen Shores Medical Clinic in Southampton.
The Victorian Order of Nurses was also able to open a Same Day Urgent Care Clinic in October with support from the town.
Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau says, council is thrilled about the progress made in attracting health care professionals to the community.
“As our community grows, we will continue to work to ensure that all of our residents have access to high-quality, primary care,” says Charbonneau.
