South Bruce OPP say charges have been laid as a result of their participation in the Festive R.I.D.E. campaign.
The OPP says during the campaign from Nov. 18 to Jan. 3, 98 checkpoints were set up across the detachment area.
During this time police say two driver’s license suspensions were issued and four drivers were charged with impaired driving.
South Bruce OPP had also investigated over 150 motor vehicle collisions during the campaign, with one impaired driver being arrested at one of them.
Police say while the campaign has ended, the OPP remain committed to road safety as motorists can expect to see officers patrolling area roads and stopping drivers all year long.
