Saugeen Shores Police say a local resident is facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation.
Police say they launched an investigation in December into a report of trafficking in the town.
Police say members from the Criminal Investigations Bureau conducted an extensive investigation, which included the execution of search warrants on electronic devices to identify the person involved.
Police say then on Jan. 4, the investigation resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old man who has been charged with trafficking fentanyl.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and was released on a release order, and was given a future court date.
Saugeen Shores Police did not provide the name of the accused.
