The City of Owen Sound is accepting applications to join its Committee of Adjustment.
People who wish to serve as a member of the committee must send in their applications by Feb. 21, which are available for pick up at the clerk’s office at City Hall or on the city website.
There is currently one vacancy and the accepted applicant will serve immediately until Nov. 14, 2022.
The committee makes decisions on applications for minor variances and property severance and acts as the Property Standards Hearing Committee, Court of Revision, and Line Fences Review Committee.
Mayor Ian Boddy says, “The Committee of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial committee considering applications for minor variances and property severances. Becoming a member of this committee is a great opportunity to help the city with important decisions.”
