The City of Owen Sound says with the extreme cold warning in effect for the area, the local library will be open for short-term warming.
The Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library will be available for residents to warm themselves up for half and hour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
Emergency shelter services are being provided by Grey County through the YMCA Housing Services.

Residents are encouraged to check on vulnerable family, friends, neighbours, and especially isolated seniors during extreme cold weather conditions.
Residents needing assistance can also call 211 for additional warming centres or information.
