The Municipality of Meaford is inviting residents to join a virtual meeting later this month to discuss the Official Plan review.
The meeting will occur on Feb. 23 and run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Meaford says the Official Plan is key as it establishes council’s priorities on how the land in the area should be used, while also ensuring planning and any changes meet the needs of the community in the future.
The meeting later this month will talk about the common community themes residents are mentioning in their responses to the Official Plan survey.
Residents will also be able to learn about the process and legislative requirements needed for updating the Official Plan, project information from Municipal staff and NPG Planning Solutions, a land use planning firm, and introduction to the Ryerson University students assisting in data collection and analysis.
The meeting will also feature an open forum.
If you are interested in attending the online meeting, you can RSVP by emailing officialplan@meaford.ca by Feb. 16, and a Zoom link will be sent to you.
Those who would like to take part in the Official Plan survey, can also visit the Meaford website or fill out a hard copy, with more details on the municipal website.
