The City of Owen Sound is encouraging local restaurants to participate in this year’s Savour Owen Sound event.
This award-winning culinary event is set to occur throughout the month of March as it celebrates and promotes local restaurants.
Last year 18 restaurants took part in the event, dishing out over 760 meals.
During the 2021 event, Savour Owen Sound transitioned into a safer Covid conscious version, by offering a curbside feature to align with provincial guidelines, as indoor dining was restricted at the time.
The event this year will feature dine-in, curbside, delivery, and walk-in options while continuing to follow provincial guidelines.
Any restaurants, cafes and bakeries within 20 kilometres of the city are encouraged to participate.
Mayor Ian Boddy says, “this is a great opportunity for local restaurants to showcase their establishments and savoury dishes. We look forward to another fantastic lineup of participating local eateries.”
Owen Sound Tourism was awarded the Ontario Tourism Resiliency Winter Collaboration Award for the event at the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario summit on Oct. 27, 2021.
