Owen Sound Police say they have seized about $68,000 in drugs after a search warrant was executed at a residence in the city.
Police say on Friday (April 1) they arrested a 44-year-old Owen Sound man in the 100 block of 9 th Street East, after a traffic stop was initiated by their Criminal Investigations Branch and Uniform Patrol.
Officers then executed a search warrant at a residence where three additional male suspects were arrested.
Police say they seized fentanyl, meth, cocaine, hydromorphone pills, a bolt action rifle, an assortment of imitation firearms and BB guns and about $2,500 worth of stolen tools and property. City police say the stolen property will be returned to its rightful owners.
They say the total street value of the seized drugs is approximately $68,000.
Police say they seized Fentanyl represents over 1,500 potential lethal doses of the drug.
The four suspects were charged with several offences related to possession for the purpose of
trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Police did not name the accused.
According to city police, the residence is located in the area of a daycare and was the subject of many complaints from concerned citizens due to the activity and foot traffic at the residence.
