Owen Sound Police say a local woman is facing charges following a fraud investigation.
Police say they started their investigation on April 16, which revealed a suspect had used a stolen credit card to purchase about $10,000 worth of products from Home Depot.
Police say the investigation led them to a commercial rental unit where the property had been delivered, and a search warrant was executed on April 29.
During the search, police say they recovered the fraudulently purchased products and were able to return them to the Home Depot.
As a result of this investigation, police say a 46-year-old woman from Owen Sound was arrested and charged with fraud over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and un-authorized use of a credit card.
Police say the accused was released from custody and will appear in court in Owen Sound this month.
Police did not name the accused.
