The Grey Bruce Health Unit is looking for assistance in finding the owner of a dog involving in a biting near Durham.
The health unit says on May 16 around 2:30 p.m. on Southgate Road 26, a man was bitten by a black german shepherd dog with a small brown patch.
The health unit says the dog was off its leash and appeared to be unaccompanied by its owner.
Health unit staff need to confirm if the dog is not infectious with rabies by verifying its health as the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
The health unit is asking anyone with information to give them a call at 519-376-9420.
