A live Facebook auction is set to go this evening for the Billy Bishop Home and Museum’s 10th annual Fire & Ice Gala.
The event, which supports the operation of the museum is being held online this year.
Organizers say auction items are donated by local businesses and can be bid on this week.
A live main event begins at 7 this evening (Friday October 9th).
The highlight of the night is the live purse auction, with one of the purses containing the ‘ice’ which is a piece of jewellery donated by D.C. Taylor Jewellers.
Tickets are $70 each and grant access to the Facebook auction and a gift certificate for Bishop’s Landing at Best Western Inn on the Bay. The Facebook auction ends at noon Friday.
Proceeds from this annual fundraising event go towards operational costs, exhibits, educational programs and collections management.
