The Transportation & Environmental Services department for Bruce County had an update for council this week.
The 2022 capital budget approved expenditure for the department is just over $19.7 million.
While they’re working to move ahead on construction projects, they have been finding that the market has been volatile, with the costs of materials on the rise and securing contractors to complete projects.
Some highlights for the transportation department include work starting for replacing the Teeswater Bridge, the pre-engineering stages for the rehabilitation of West Road, and the request for proposal for the Willow Creek Bridge just closed on July 5th.
