The Municipality of Meaford is working to make sure all of their paperwork is done as a property developer appeals to the Ontario Land Tribunal.
Last week, a special council meeting was cancelled after a Zoning By-law Amendment had been moved under the jurisdiction of the OLT on July 13th.
The amendment was for SkyDevCo’s development of the land that used to belong to the Stanley Knight flooring company at the corner of Boucher Street East and Fuller Street and was planned to have a hotel, apartment buildings, and townhouses as part of the development referred to as Knights Harbour.
For its part, the Municipality of Meaford’s staff is making sure they’ve put together an official record and package of documents associated with the appeal, as required by the OLT.
Once the Ontario Land Tribunal receives the documents and other materials related to SkyDev’s appeal, it will take 1-2 months to review everything and take the next steps.
