The Grey Bruce Health Unit says that one person has died of a suspected drug overdose in Owen Sound.
The deceased was in their mid-30s.
According to GBHU says that opioid overdoses are highest in that age group.
The incident is also prompting Public Health to renew its plea for people who do use drugs to be as safe as possible.
That includes not using alone.
