The deadline is approaching for applications for the ” Kids Can Play Bruce Grey ” grant which facilitates youth access to recreation.
The deadline to submit grant applications for the campaign is Thursday September 15th.
Jennifer Legge of Community Foundation Grey Bruce ( CFGB ) relates that eligible non-profits may apply to the Kids Can Play Bruce Grey grant for up to $3,000 to support their local projects.
Legge notes that over the past 3 years, CFGB has seen the number of applications for community grants supporting youth recreation decline drastically.
Many after school and weekend opportunities had to close their doors for safety during the COVID era, and this grant offers a boost to get programs back into the swing of things or launch new programs.
Recreation encompasses sport, art and culture, education, music, and leisure activities for the youth of Grey Bruce.
