The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie is closing the temporary Bruce Road 3 in-town detour for the Paisley Remembrance Day service.
Bruce County says the detour will be closed from 10 a.m. to noon on Nov. 11 to host the service at the Paisley cenotaph.
During the service, Goldie Street Bridge will be closed and access to Church Street, south of the Teeswater River will be affected. The temporary bridge connecting Goldie Street and Church Street will remain open during the service.
Signs, barricades and a detour will be put up during the short-term closure.
Additionally, the county says Queen Street at Inkerman Street will be closed and detouring cars will need to move east on Inkerman Street, north on Albert Street, west on Water Street, and exist east on Goldie Street. Queen Street at Rowe Street will also be closed.
Some of Bruce County’s municipal offices will be closed as well for Remembrance Day.
The Administration Centre in Walkerton, the Lakeshore Hub in Port Elgin, the Peninsula Hub in Wiarton, and the Penetangore Hub in Kincardine will be closed.
The county says virtual and in-person service will be available again on Nov. 14 at 8:30 a.m.
The Bruce County Public Library branches will be closed as well, before returning to regular hours on Nov. 12 and 13.
The county’s museum and cultural centre will also be closed on Friday. It will be open the next day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
