Some residents of Kincardine no longer have to conserve water as work on the Kincardine Reservoir is complete ahead of schedule.
Residents in the Huronville subdivision and along the pipeline to Inverhuron needed to cut back usage while work was completed.
The second phase of construction started on October 17th and was expected to be completed by November 25th.
The municipality sent out a media release saying that work was completed a few days early.
Now that the Kincardine Drinking Water System’s reservoir is back online, residents who were affected will find that their water pressure will return to normal over the coming days.
The municipality is warning that there may be some discolouration in the water, and they may need to turn their cold water taps on for a short period of time before use.
