The Township of Huron-Kinloss is inviting residents to take part in a 2023 budget survey before its first meeting in February.
The township each year undergoes the budget process to create one which supports operations and delivers programs and services to residents.
“Through the budget process, choices are made to ensure the services provided to residents align with the priorities in the Township of Huron-Kinloss Sustainability and Strategic Plan: Our Future Huron-Kinloss,” says the township.
Mayor Don Murray says they currently do not have a tax rate increase or budget they can share at this point in time.
The survey questions what residents think their municipal taxes pay for, where programs and services in the township could be adjusted, and setting aside money for future projects.
The survey will be available until Jan. 30 and can be completed here, with the results being published after it closes.
Council will be reviewing the first draft of the 2023 budget on Feb. 17 at 10 a.m., which can be viewed online or by attending the council chambers.
