The Municipality of Meaford now has annual burn permits available.
This is also the second year that the municipality is using an online permitting system.
All residents who applied for a burn permit last year are able to renew their permits by logging into their accounts.
Fire Chief Courtney Allen says that moving the permitting process online has made it faster and easier than it had been previously.
He added that it also helped educate the public as to what kind of permit they need, or how to burn safely.
