It’s going to be cold, very cold tonight.
Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for Grey Bruce, saying a strong cold front will bring windchill values approaching -30 tonight into Friday morning.
Forecasters say things will moderate a bit during the day Friday — with a high around -15 — before wind chills drop down to -30 again Friday night into early Saturday morning.
“Risks are greater for young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter,” the warning from Environment Canada says. “Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.”
