Bruce Power is donating $20,000 to the Canadian Red Cross for earthquake relief.
The company is also encouraging its employees, local businesses, and community members to also support the effort.
More than 20,000 people have died following 7.8 and 7.6 earthquakes that affected parts of Turkiye and Syria last week, which were then followed by an estimated 20 aftershocks.
In their media release, Bruce Power also noted that the government of Canada will match donations to help those impacted by the earthquakes, up to a maximum of $10 million.
Bruce Power also has a donation page set up to facilitate donations from the community, on the Red Cross website.
