The Municipality of Grey Highlands is looking to hear from residents on the development of a Climate Action Plan.
The municipality says the development of this plan seeks to reduce the impacts of the changing climate and doing its part to mitigate it.
The plan will address how the municipality manages and consumes energy at municipally owned facilities and operations, leveraging opportunities to implement energy efficiency upgrades, reduce waste, save on the cost of energy, limit greenhouse gases, and become more sustainable.
A climate action report was developed to help the municipality guide the community through the climate crisis and help reduce emissions by 30 per cent by 2030, and achieve net-zero by 2050.
The full action plan can be found here.
The survey is looking to hear perspectives and priorities from residents on how the municipality should act on climate change and implement initiatives which benefit the environment, economy, and community health.
The survey can be found here.
