Bruce County Public Library’s Valentines for Seniors is taking place again this year after success at the Walkerton branch last year.
In February 2022, the Walkerton Branch wanted to bring Valentine’s spirit to residents living in nearby long-term care homes.
They got the idea from a visit to Brucelea Haven in 2020 when they had a redeployment experience, which led to them making packages of different craft materials for community members to create.
They ended up collecting 317 Valentine’s cards.
This year, all Bruce County library branches are taking part.
You can stop by your local branch during the set time to complete your Valentine’s cards, or you can pick up a take-home package of craft materials to complete at home, and then drop your cards off when completed.
