Saugeen Shores Council has given final approval to its 2023 budget.
It consists of a $32.3 million operating budget and a $32.8 million capital budget for a total $65.1 million budget.
$ 20.9 million of that will be raised from taxation.
The tax rate increase is 5.94 per cent which works out to a $232 increase for the average household assessed at $314,000.
Some spending highlights include an urban tree canopy plan, work on the Southampton Water Treatment Control Plant, road work and some new sidewalks as well as some investments in parks including a cricket pitch.
