Bruce County wants more families to know about the fund available to low-income families, known as the Child Activity Assistance Program.
Earlier this month, council approved the enhancement of the CAAP with an increase to the eligible income threshold and the annual assistance allotment, giving even more children the opportunity to participate.
The available funding was increased overall and allows families with a gross income of $49,466 to be eligible.
This allows eligible families to allow their children to go on school trips, participate in extra-curricular activities, or join programs like the Scouts and Embers, and so on.
Subsidies of $500 per child are available to children within the household who are under the age of 18.
